How do I know what size of Doors to buy for a particular Unit
When Purchasing a door, choose a size between 3mm and 5mm smaller. For example you would buy a 715mm high x 295mm wide door for a 720mm high x 300mm wide unit.
What type of Edging is used on the Units
We use .8mm PVC Edging with a Flat Matt Finish.
Where are the holes drilled on the doors for hinges
Selecting Hinge Drilling for Right or Left handed doors.
Select Left Hand Hinged to have the hinges drilled on the inside left of the door as you look at it. You would fit the Handle on the Right Hand to pull the door open from the Right to the Left
Select Right Hand Hinged to have the hinges drilled on the inside right of the door as you look at it. You would fit the Handle on the Left Hand to pull the door open from the Left to the Right
We drill the holes using a 35mm TCT cutter and drill them 100mm to the centre of the hole from the top and bottom.
What does Legno Finish mean?
The Legno Finish is a uni-colour Wood-Grain style vinyl.
Legno is a Finish available on some styles of Ethos Door Ranges
What does Serica Finish Mean?
Serica is the name given by Ethos Doors to the finish available on some of their Door Ranges.
They quote "Extremely robust, incorporating anti-scratch and antri-fingerprint technology. Major advancements in surface coating technology allow this new generation of finishes to give an authentic smooth paint effct finish with the added benefits of durability and functionality. It has a luxurious appearance and warm wax like feel when touching the foil."
How do I know what door to buy to fit my units
A door is generally between 3mm and 4mm shorter and narrower than the Kitchen Unit. EG if the Kitchen Units is 720mm high and 300mm wide then you need a door that is 715mm high and 296-297mm* narrower.
*Kitchen Door Manufacturers use different door widths as standard but they are always between 3mm and 5mm narrower than the unit.
Some examples are.The Tuscany Door comes as 715 x 296 as standard, The Strada Door comes as 715 x 297 as standard
Should I order my Kitchen Doors or Units first on the Website
We suggest you write a list of your units and put the door size needed beside it. Next go into the Door Style you want and add the doors into the shopping cart, this means if there is a size you need and it is not available then you can adjust your Unit/Door list to suit.
For example if you have in your unit list a 350 wide single base unit and a 450 wide single base unit and the door style you like is not available to fit a 450 unit, you can change your base units to 2 400 wide units and still get the doors you really want.

We Hand Build all our Kitchen Cabinets in our workshop in Co Antrim in the UK.
Our team of experienced Cabinet Makers have been employed with our company for many years and all of our Cabinets are delivered Assembled with the feet attached.
Each unit comes with adjustable legs, shelves, shelf Studs and wall fixings.
What is a Shaker Style Door
In general terms a Shaker Style Door is a Kitchn Door with a Frame and Centre panel.
They are available with a Plain Flat Panel such as the Madison in Solid Wood or Fenwick in Vinyl Wrapped MDF. Or with a detailed raised Panel such as the Jefferson.
Another variation is the Aldana which as a slimer frame than usual or the Belgravia which is our In Frame.
We have many other Shaker Style Doors available in different materials and finishes to choose from
Do you supply units that are not a Standard Door
Yes, as we hand build every unit, we can make any unit in any size. If the size you need is not on the website, get in touch by email with the size, shape and colour and we will get back to you with the price. Non standard sized units are available for delivery within our normal delivery times.
How long does it take for Delivery
Under normal circumstances, our delivery times on Kitchen Units is 2 - 3 weeks as they are made to order and we deliver them to you assembled.
Our lead time on Kitchen Doors ranges from 2 -6 weeks dependent on the style and finish chosen. Stock Colours are normally ready for despatch in 2 weeks, the bespoke colours which are painted to order can take up to 6 weeks to ensure time for all our quality control processes to be completed. With the current 2021 situation caused by the Covid 19 pandemic lead times can be between 2 and 8 weeks on any of our products.
